I am a Social Entrepreneur who has a passion for marketing
different brands and sports and someone who has gained a lot of
knowledge about the economics of South African townships. I am
the Founder and CEO of Ike Bam Pty Ltd, a below the line brand
communications company that specialises in township sales and
I have held customer service and sales & marketing positions at
Alpha Communications, VW Barons N1 City and Hyundai
Previously, I was Regional Manager (Western Cape) for Minanawe
Marketing working on brands such as: Herdbuoys, Parmalat, PSI
and Unilever. I have also project-managed Trust Condoms, Monsta
Pops, Danone, Bonnita Long Life Milk (Department of Basic
Education), Mpesa (Vodacom) and Securex Hygiene Soap launch
I am well experienced in brand promotions, brand re-launch,
event management, business development, business facilitation,
business operations, project management, relationship
management, sales & marketing, township activations and startups.
I have a keen interest in education and sports. I have been a
Diversity Tutor/ Sports Coach at Diocesan College (Bishops),
Activities Coach with Sporting Chance, Boarding Master at SACS,
Boarding House Master/Student Teacher and Sports Coach at
Western Province Preparatory School.
I have studied part-time for a Business Management &
Administration course at Varsity College (Sandton). I hold a
Diploma in Sports and Health Management and a Certificate in
Public relations from Varsity College (Rondebosch). I matriculated
from the South African College School (SACS).
I have played for SACS first rugby team and took part in two tours
to Zimbabwe in 1996 and the UK in 1997. I have also coached and
managed various rugby teams at UCT from the u19’s to UCT’s 3rd
team. I was part of the coaching staff at Wanderers Rugby Club (JHB) where I was Assistant Coach of the u19’s and 21’s.
I was also a Player Coach with Rugby Club Etten-Leur, in Netherlands.
